XOOPS Translation Module

Why don't to try to create a translation module:
1) everyone can post the translation;
2) from this module you can download the last translation;
3) basic language: english;
4) if no translation: english quote;
5) no more lack of variables in translation files;
6) very usefull for a multilanguage support !!!

Sorry for my poor english

Actually you can create a block in the administration tool. Inside the block paste this text:

<script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript1.2" src="http://www.altavista.com/help/free/inc_translate"></script>
<noscript><a href="http://www.altavista.com/babelfish/tr"></noscript>

After this is done, go to groups and assign the rights as needed. This is what I did on my site. Saves on unnecessary module coding.

I hope this helps.

Re: XOOPS Translation Module

There is allready such module, partialy completed, and working with some modules such as Solo's multimenu language files. It's called Kiang Lang_Tool 0.06 alpha and can be downloaded from dev.xoops.org.

The module is without maintainer from long time, so before to try it, backup all files.

NOTE: U have to set 777 permissions to modules/module-name/language/xxx and yyy/
