New user's password not being written properly in 2.1.1

A new user has to reset their password before they can login. The password specified during the registration process is not valid.

Xoops 2.1.1
PHP 4.3.9
MySQL 4.0.18

Fixed in nightlies on the next day after release

the 2.1.1 version is only a development alpha version for bug testing.. therefore you will have to keep downloading the nightly version to keep current..

i would suggest using the 2.0.10 stable release if you are new to xoops.

To update, would I only need to do the following?
1. Download latest alpha
2. Extract files
3. Overwrite existing files
4. Update system, user, and PM modules via XOOPS interface

Is the database structure itself likely to change, or is it too early to tell?

yes, yes, yes and yes..

and yes the db structure is likely to change in some areas, along with the files.. but i don't know for sure.

In 2.1.1 I can't seem to get the lost password feature to work either. It never finds the proper account, even though in the database the emails match up exactly.
