Hi all!

Don't know if this is the correct place to post my question..but here it goes:

Is it possible to have 2 XOOPS installations accessing the same database (that way, users can access both communities with only one registration)?

If so, what do I have to change? I've tried to mod mainfile.php but then the page doesn't load :|

Any idea?

Thanks.

You want two identical sites under different names or only common userbase?

In fisrt case it can be done by directing to sites into the same phisical path and one-line modification of mainfile.pho
In case of sharing only users you can use Mith's multisite hack

Hi, and thanks for the reply!

Well, I think I didn't explained it well...what I have is 2 installations under 2 different directories (http://www.blabla.net & http://www.blabla.net/bla) and, instead of each one using each own database (blabla_xoops1 & blabla_xoops2) I want them both to use a single, shared, one (for instance, only blabla_xoops1) so everything that's stored in that database (users included) is common to both!

I've tried modifying the database names under mainfile.php so they are the same, but no results :(

As for the hack, it seems a bit too complex for what I want, and if I can't achieve it, there's no big deal!

Thanks in advance!
