I'm not too sure what you asked for. Are you referring to short-urls? If so, you may wanna take a look at following site's download section which provide short-url hack.

i'm using a winnt server
i'm not sure that the htaccess file would work or not.

can i use this shorturl hack without htaccess ?

I'm so sorry. I'm not sure about this matter. I believe since it's in "to-do" list, it's necessary to follow every single instruction. So, I would recommend to ask the author of this hack for alternative issue for WinNT server.

I don't think mod/hacks creators would like to come out with the hack which VERY VERY minority of users demand(Right now, only 1, you.)
But, it's not the end of story as you can still get your own customised hack for your need. But, on this planet, nothing comes for FOC. Touch you pocket and your need will be met. There are lots of talented mod/hack creators in this forum. Who can say? You might end-up with generous XOOPS expert who wanna help you out for free.
