Active Notifications

I have just installed XOOPS onto a website and the Active Notifications option appears on the bottom. How do I turn this off? I have made this not visible in groups for both registered users and anonymous users but still appears. Please inform. Thank you.

well that option not only is a default system block, most modules include this too in their preferences, you would have to disable that from there.

Sorry I don't seem to see any Active Notifications options in my blocks. Groups is the only place I see it and just like al_in_chicag all the groups have it off.

check the preferences of the specific modules. This is also a setting of the module themselves (if notifications is included within the module) !

I found nothing in config for the module.(Mod_News 1.44) so I had a look in the template files

templates/news_index.html

and deleted the following line the last line around number 27

Quote:
<{include file='db:system_notification_select.html'}>

In News > Preferences, it says "Enable Notification". Just select Disable Notification and the notification box won't show up. This applies to all modules (generally). There's no need to edit your templates
