Forum Blocks Don't Show After Updating to Newbb 2.x

OK all I have a minor problem it seems. Everything else with my newbb update seemed to go ok except for one error I made, yes folks it is always wise to backup a database before installing a new module anyways my problem.

Seems the forum blocks don't want to show up since I did the update..... Can't figure out why and I have spent allot of time on it already so any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I am running 2.0.9.2 and I follwed the mustdo's to the letter so I thought.... Only thing I can't seem to figure out is what is updating the templates? Could this have something to do with why my forum blocks won't show even though they are activated?

Please help im one confused chick!!!!!!

to update the templates just goto XOOPS admin, click system then modules and click on the update icon next to the newbb module..

OK I did do that SEVERAL TIMES and I still don't have any forum blocks showing

are they just not showing or empty?

have u checked in admin groups and made sure those blocks accessible to groups?

also try clearing templates_c and cache folders.. (just a suggestion)

I don't know what happened but all of a sudden the forum blocks are showing up..... Thank you so much for the replies, you guys are great!

Hey I have noticed as i had the exact problem with the forum blocks not showing and after a bit of playing around it seemed that it would only work if i selected the default template of xoops...Seems newbb 2.0 is not completely compatable with all themes that have there own templates.tar files.

I could be wrong but this is what I have noticed anyway hope this helps

After the block miraculously appeared, I tested it with all 3 themes my site uses and it worked with all of them. I am not saying what kiwiguy says isn't fact I am simply stating that all my themes work fine. I am still confused as to why the block suddenly appeared but it has, because I made no changes to the site waiting for m0nty to reply. When I read his post I went back to my site to try the things he recommended and voila the block was there. So who knows.
