How to be GOOGLE's no *1*!!!

At HouseofStrauss we have noticed quite a few hits on "How to clean pee stains from a mattress"
I should say, this is actually one of our more savory search queries from our visitors!

So, we thought we would do an experiment with google.

We wrote an article especially for this search string as the article served up by google didn't say very much about the subject specifically. This new one does.

Then we submitted the article to google straight away in the usual manner. (29 Dec 2004)

Within 2 days Google had indexed the article!

so far we have had 82 hits and

we come up on the the first page of google, first, second, third, fourth hit !!!

Is that claim to fame or what???

Ok, it was well timed for the aftermath of new years eve, but... what a result.

Either we are totally insane and deserve to have out bandwidth eaten up by the world of pissers, or there is a little lesson to be learned about the habits of SEO...

We did exactly the same thing for the Bostcastle disaster here is the UK, because we involved with the rescue of people and it had the same result. Google crawled within 2 days and we had no. 1 hits.

The serious note::

Check your search queries, Refine your pages to match them, submit to google and .... get more bandwidth.

When you say 'submitted it to Google', what do you mean exactly? Do you mean there is a way of submitting an individual page of your site to Google, or do you mean you just asked Google to include your whole site (which will of course include the new article) for spidering the next time round? If the former, how do you do that?

u submit the site i think, and add the relevant keywords to it..
