Hello,

I'm very new to this whole process. I have successfully installed XOOPS 2.0.7.3 on IIS 5.1 (Windows XP Pro SP1) with PHP 4.3.9 and MySQL 4.1.7.

When I click the link to view my webpage after the installation process is complete, all I see is the XOOPS banner, 2 dead links (Login and Main Menu), and a footer graphic.

I've triedhttp://localhost/xoops/html/admin.php, but it says I don't have permission to access that page and sends me back to index.php.

HELP!!!

opst! why don't you login... and then, you'll get an access to the admin area... don't you?

How do I login? The Login "link" on the page isn't activated. Basically, the only active links on the page are the XOOPS logo, banner and the footer graphic. Everything else is just regular text with no links.

let's do some stuff here.. can you looks at XOOPS_URL/modules/system/templates/

is there any files there? and also looks at XOOPS_URL/template_c? same thing.. is there any files there?

i think this is because of your template..

yes, I am facing the same problem

even open user.php file, there are just two dead links ,one is login ,and the other is main menu, both dead ....

under
win2003 iis 6
php 5.0
mysql server 4.17
xoops 2.0.9-beta

I found every time when I run it , there are two files named %%20^200^200DC337%%theme.html.php and %%74^744^744285BA%%theme_blockleft.html.php respectively come out under templates_c directory, even if they are deleted.....
is this the reason that comes the dead links???

btw,
there was formerly only one file index.html under templates_c directory

IHELP PLEASE!!!
I have this same problem, i install xoops, it did very well until i go to the homepage, then nothing. It go directly to the modules/news area and the menu at the left is there but the center content is empty and it says Selected module does not exist!. Then i try to login with my user and password and it do nothing but get me to the path/user.php with another login form. I try to go directly to the admin area and it says You don't have the right to access this area. If the page does not automatically reload, please click here.

i check the comment you say about XOOPS_URL/modules/system/templates/
about the XOOPS_URL/template_c? but i havent these files in there. can you guess what do i did wrong? Im in OSX 10.3.5 running PHP Version 4.3.6 and MSQL 3.23.49
