I've given up on fantastico and downloaded smart FTP. In setting up I have trying to connect - It goes like this

and on it goes..so what does

500 SITE jensclassroom.com is an unknown extension

mean and how do I fix it???

Please remove the IPs from your post.

You used the login bar in smartFTP?
So you only entered your sitename(no directories) or ip, the username and password?

If thats the case contact your hoster and ask them why this happens.
I have never seen this connecting with smartftp to a PureFTP demon.

I started over - from the download of smart ftp...amd it all works like a dream come true!
