Flood protection for forum?

some ppl was flooding my forum section yesterday, i need some kind of protection against flood , module or hack .Thx.

Since your the admin of your site, you can check there IP address of the user who kept flooding or spamming in your forum.

I know this is not the best way to ban by IP addresses. Better than nothing.

The control is in your System Setting I guess.

already done. im looking 4 some way to delay post frequency or avoid repetitive topics... any idea?..

in the newbb module setting there's an option for flood control.. default is 30 secs..

Timelimit for consecutively posting

Set a Timelimit for consecutively posting. In Seconds, 0 for no limit

Weird, i cant see this option (??!) can you be more specific please? admin control panel ---> ???

m0nty is referring to newbb2 which is being developed at the XOOPS dev forge, and I presume you are running newbb v1 (which comes with XOOPS). There is no flood protection option in newbb v1.
