Is there a XOOPS method to spawn a new browser window with a URL? I wish there was a search function on the XOOPS docs site...

What I need to do is spawn a browser window on the push of a button. I see some java script code to do this from a link but not a button.

Sample code would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I'm a newbie at this...

I need to call a function on the click of a button, which generates a url, from a DB query, then spawn a browser with the URL.

In practice, I discovered that there are so many cities, when quering for one, you never get just one unless you type in the whole city name so I ended up displaying a list of links anyway, then the user clicks the link they want to see the map. It's kind of like a "Mapquest" with GIS layers added.
