Also, I've been running for about 3 or 4 weeks and i don't seem to get many visitors and was wandering if anyone could recommend any sites or solutions to helping me get more hits. Or could you tell me how you promote your?

I've submitted to the search engines, but thats all.

Hi jonas000, you site looks good mate. It can take 8 to 10 weeks for search engines to include your site from when you submit it so just be patient. Try joining a webring in your field and have your site URL in your signature on all forums that you frequent. Main thing, be patient and ensure you are constantly providing new information......people won't come back if your latest post is a month old.

I never though about the signature and webring...There probably loads out there.

the first look i at your wesbite.. makes me want to close it up.
No offence, but that is my honest opinion as a web surfer. you do need more colors as yours site is about DANCE AND MUSIC.

Put some pictures on the front page..
Some image. Make users wanna come back. You ought to get a news on the front page too to update on music scenes. or Some pictures and pre-introduction of the DJs. Some spotlight article might get to do the trick.

I have been trying to put more in....mainly just small things like images of the djs with their mix in the download section, and interviews.

Is there any way I can use the headlines module to give me dance music news??

I agree. I like a lot color, but not like.. a lot of different colors. Pic a basic color and build a theme around that. Also, I noticed that you spelled it "Vinly" in the title, but in the welcom message and the website title it's "vinyl". You might want to fix that

Hmm more pictures on the header i suggest..
not until you scroll down just to the see the pictures.

the news, maybe you can do it like xoops.org? News 1.2 module.
would be nice though.

just my suggestions as a review. with proper arrangement and colors, i am sure you will make a great site with those content.

Hi,

I like it - your fat header text fits well with your "wide-shouldered" three columns layout.

However, you've got some problems with your layout in NN7.0 - and I assume in the other Moz-based browsers.

A lot of information about site promotion was published here

(And once you get visitors, how do you intend to finance your downloads?)

probably a small subscription via paypal but I'll need to wait untill I have at least 100+ mixes available to download and sort out news content for it to be worthwhile.
