Hey All,

I love XOOPS first off!! I was wondering if I wanted to break off my forum into 2 groups.

1 for Fishing and the Seccond for Hunting and so on.

Would it be possible to install 2 intances of NewBB or should I say has anyone done or tried this.

I dont need to do it now but my Forum page is getting really long so I thought about seperating into 2 different forums

What is your exact preference?
You can set different access permission for fishing group and for hunting group with one single NewBB 2 installed.

Well I really wanted to allow access for all registered members(Free anyway) to both forums. But have another link in Main Menu for the Hunting Forum and the Fishing Forum.

So, you can create two categories: fishing, hunting.
One link would behttp://yousite.com/modules/newbb/index.php?catid=1
The otherhttp://yousite.com/modules/newbb/index.php?catid=2

In this way, the two forums can be displayed separately.
And even the forum index can be different by making a small hack.

Create a new blocks module

Get the URL from the 2 different forums.

Copy the Template ( Go to Blocks> select Main Menu and click on edit >

Paste this into a new block and modify by adding Two links to the menu.
