Trouble with dropdown menu in newbb2 with IE

I'm using XSAS to develop my first XOOPS website. Just installed the new newbb2 and added the module header line to my theme.html so the dropdown menus will work. The dropdown menus work fine in Firefox but don't work in IE6.0 SP2. Is this an IE problem, an XSAS problem, or just a dumbass noobie problem? How do I fix it?

Oh yeah, one more thing: the "Online" button always shows "Offline" even when I'm logged in. ???

The online status stuff has been fixed in CVS

what's the exact problem with your IE6 sp2?

I've had trouble with the NewBB CSS file overidding the
  • tag, but that is about it. beerMe, you may want to tweak /include/newbb.css in your NewBB module folder to suit your theme. Hey phppp, has anything been discussed/decided regarding the use of module level CSS? I had to tweak the newbb.css file so that it matched my themes color scheme. However, this is only good for one theme, and makes it much harder to run a site with multiple selectble themes.

    I've already figured out how to modify the CSS files to fit my theme, that's no problem. The problem is that when I put my mouse over the Main Options, Search Forum, or other newbb options that normally have a pop-up menu, it doesn't work in IE6.0 SP2. Like I said, I'm running XSAS, my site isn't live on the web.

    What is CVS? How do I use it? (Forgive my ign'ance...) I click on "CVS information" in the Development sidebar but it leads to nothing.
