Okay.. I am currently using v. 2.05 i want to upgrade to v. 2.0.7.3 I am assuming that I have to do the update script for the previous versions first, but I want to know exactly how. Do I just replace the files ie. include, class, all that stuff.. or is there an update script that I follow.. exactly how do I do this?

sometimes you just overwrite files.. sometimes u need to run a script aswell.. it varies from the type of update..

but you can find all the update patches here (along with instructions)

I have the patches that I need, but.. for example:

In the patch update for v. 1.0.5 to 1.0.6 all it has is the files that you replace.. it does not have any update script to run. This will overwrite all the files that I have in there. It will not erase any of the setting that I have installed right?

thats right :) if you have just the update patches, just overwrite existing files.. it doesn't change any of the database.. so your settings will not be changed..

it's only if there's an update script to run that database changes are usually made.. but nearly all upgrade patches on here do not cause data to be lost..
