Some strange problems with Newbb

Hello. I have XOOPS 2.0.7 instaled and newbb 1.0. Everything worked fine but now suddenly i have problems with forum (newbb). In some forums the icon doesn't change. Even if i read a post it shows an icon like i didn't read. I have allready tried to reinstall the whole modul but it just doesn't work.

And can someone tell me an information? Will the new newbb module save data to server or cookies. Because all people on my page don't like that it saves in cookies.

Sory for my really bad english. Hope someone understands me...

I've had a few problems with NewBB - nothing major but frustrating nevertheless. I am going to try a couple of the suggestions that have been made in my thread that I started here :

Perhaps you could try some of them too? There are 3 or 4 if you read from the start.

If none of them work you could always try using the beta release of NewBB2 which looks really good, its just that it hasn't been fully released yet. You can download it and try it from http://dev.xoops.org.

Actually, if I recall, I think it may actually have been officially released recently, in the last few days. You may want to check.

ok, i am now translating newbb2 to Slovene ...

but ... does newbb2 store information (read/unread posts) in cookies or on the server ...?

But does it work fine ? Can i just use the newbb2 on my page and there will be no problems ? Or it is only in testing now ...

I just tried, and had to uninstall it again. See

The new features look great with super control over many issues. But there appear to be a couple of missing graphics and, for me, the main Forum page did not display any of the actual forums when accessed from the Main Menu block - only the top level catergories were shown with a couple of faint blue lines. I thought it was a configuration setting but even after I re-set ALL the permissions for ALL the forums I still could not access it from the menu block - only from the 'Recent Topics' block that I had set.

So I copied the original NewBB back again and then copied my SQL database backup back over to re-set everything.

I have it running on http://xoops.web-udvikling.dk without problems.

Not upgraded, though, but freshly installed.
