Forgive me for sounding stupid, but what is the difference between a moderator and an Administrator when it comes to a forum?

I am in the process now of setting up my forum, but I want several people to be moderators of particular forums because of their expertise. In other words, one person to 'regulate' one forum, and another person to 'regulate' another. If I grant them moderator privilages, what will they gain and what will they actually be able to do different to me (an Admin)?

Thanks

Thanks

first u must know there are several bewbb modules and hacks.
for example in newbb core module a moderator of a forum can delete , move , ... topics in that forum only. but cant edit or delete posts in the forum. but an admin of a module like this newbb can do any thing with any forums , posts or topics.

but in newbb pro by samuels a moderator can do anything in the forum he/she moderated.
i highly recommended use newbb pro if u want a better performance.
hope this enough for u.

Hi,

For me a moderator acts on the content while the admin acts on the site itself.

Bye,
Hervé
