Hi,

What I wanted was to hide the user login block from users. My plan was that I could login as admin on the <SITE>/admin.php page and do admin stuff from there.

What happens now is that the login block is hidden, which is what I wanted, but I am denied acces to the admin login page. XOOPS claims that I do not have rights to acces the area.

So I have effectively locked myself out. Does anyone out there know how I can get back in and maybe even how I can make XOOPS hide the login block but still allow any user acces to the admin login page?

Thanks a lot in advance,
jules

How did you hide the user login block for users? We want to do the same thing here. In other words, we don't want the users to see the login section on the home page(it will confuse them).

When we need to login we'll just go to thehttp://www.yoursite.com/user.php page.

Just hide the block as you would any other block.

1) Go to the Administration Menu
2) Go to System Admin > Blocks
3) Find the Login block and under visible check "No"
4) Make sure you click on the Submit button at the bottom of the table (not page) to update your changes.

Thanks for the tips, I've hidden the blocks on the left side.

There was still empty space on the left so I also modified the themes/default/theme.html file by remarking out the left <td>.
