No Admin Installation

I have completed the installation and trying to get to the admin panel. But can't locate it. It takes me directly to the user page and there is no administrative link anywhere.

for now try
yoursite.com/modules/system/admin.php

see if it shows up then go immediately to groups and set that up.

Ok, that link says I don't have permission to access this area.

During the install process, you were asked to give the details for the administrator account. Are you absolutely sure you are logging in with that account? Also, have you ever been able to login as an administrator?

The installation process went well...all green. The landing page after the installation (I thought) should be the admin login page, which was not displayed for me. Except it goes to the user login.

The link the DobePhat gave us -- displays a message that "I don't have permission to access this page" and redirects me to the user login.

Permission usually means that setting chmods to each file. Do you know what files get what access. Can't seem to find doc on this.

Then are you using the account details that you provided during the install procedure?

Herko,

I only finished installation, NOTHING ELSE. Can't get to the page that allows me to log in as administrator.

You don't see any side blocks where you can login, or any menu with 'home'? Just a header and a footer?

I get header, footer and login...The login contains: user name,password, user login button, lost password link, register now, main menu, home. The only links that work are lost password and register.

Now perhaps this is stupid question...am I suppose to register as an admin again? Can't login with my admin info.
