I have installed a number of XOOPS sites and have used the system feature - email a user - on a few of them. Most of these sites are hosted on the same servers and I usually use the sendmail option.

Tonight I tried to use the email system on a site that I hadn't used it on before. It was set to use sendmail. All I got was an email to me - the webmaster. None of the other emails went out because I was also registered as a user to check the system. I received no errors on my end - and I had also selected both webmasters and registered users to get mail.

After trying this for about 4 times today, I switched the email option to SMTP - using my ISP server, username and password. I tried sending again. This time, I saw that the email was sent to about 5 users and everyone else had an error sending. I figured that was because my ISP put a limit on outgoing bulk emails. Actually, it looks like it only sent to those on my ISP - nobody outside my ISP.

However, I still can't get sendmail to work. I double-checked it against my other sites that I know work and everything else is the same. Any other suggestions on where to look, what to do?

Thanks in advance!

I have had problems in past versions I receive an error but the emails always seem to go where they have to. I think it is something internal but ive not had this error in the latest version.

please tell me if in your version too you have to submit 100 email and then click to next to submit to other 100 address or you can submit to all your users in one time

The solution I found in the forums was to change something on the actual hosting server. However, I do believe it is something internal to the program - it works on one website I did and not on another. They are both hosted with the same hosting company.
