Hello everyone.

I installed XOOPS on my site: http://www.druidsfoot.com - and had it working perfectly, until I logged out to register myself under another username besides the one I set as admin during installation.

As soon as I did, the browser kept redirecting me over and over again - not allowing me to leave the directory:
http://www.druidsfoot.com/modules/newbb/

If you log onto http://www.druidsfoot.com, you'll see exactly my problem.

After staring at the page for more than an hour, I give up. If anyone could give me a clue... I'd so appreciate it.

Thanks so much.

Authors choice, makes no difference to me personally.

Anyway, I got to wondering why so many people get this loop. I've never had it myself, yet time and again I see people come to the forums asking about this 'terminal loop'

Well, it just dawned on me that, if you set for instance, your home page to load a module as your start page, and don't give permissions to annonymous users, you are going to get this loop!

The site keeps trying to send you to a page your vistors do not have access to. So either disable automatic module page on your home page through the site preferences, OR just give anonymous users access to your module.

This is advice that should be taken by anyone with a looping problem.

That mystery just nagged me for about 30 seconds too much, as you can see it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. I Feel so much better now, mystery solved

Ahh and that did indeed help. Thanks so much.
