I have seen a few websites using this bible module:
Here is one of them

Does anyone know where I can download this from?

Thank You

I built a Christian site a while back. Bible modules including sound file versions were needed. I found many of them by just searching with different criteria on Google.

I ended with sound recordings of:

1) The whole bible no specific order.

2) the whole bible by chapter choice.

I ended up with video recording of the Jesus Project film.

I had choices of every kind of bible translation imaginable.

------------

I'm not ignoring your request. You'll find there is so much information available at no charge for content it'll just be a matter of how you want to present the content.

Well, considering it was my awful hack of PHPScripture to get the thing working in XOOPS in the first place, the module you refer to is available for download from our website now.

The direct link is here for your conveniece or just pop on over to jubilee-holiness.org and click on the music & downloads section. It's under non-music.

Since there has been so much interest in it, and there are actually people running it (good Lord it isn't that great a code! I don't even *know* php!) I think I might be taking time to learn a bit of PHP, see what Alex Markley, the original author of PHPScripture is doing and volunteer my efforts to redesign it and add features ... like different bibles, dictionaries, concordances, sound, etc. It'd be neat and a credit to our church for us to offer a bible module. Maybe someone will donate to the daycare building fund in exchange for the code (fat chance!)

Anyway, have fun and God bless.

Mark.

Hi,

When I was looking at Mambo (before I found XOOPS of course <g> ), I found a Mambo module to do a bible search, see:

http://mamboforge.net/projects/bibelsuche/

This website has the module in action:

http://www.westacc.org/

Possibly the module could be ported to XOOPS ??

Hi,

It looks like the Mambo module doesn't store any data within Mambo at all, i'ts just a form/search to access this site:

http://www.biblegateway.com

and run the query from there, pass the results back.

I've got a bible module on www.scac.asn.au , I think it's the one above. You have to make a custom block and use some code provided in it as the block provided doesn't work, but otherwise it works very well.

Nice looking site, I had visited that today, in searching around, but didn't know which one it used. It uses the (XOOPS) "PhpScripture" module.
