I have installed all contents of the html folder to my root on my hostserver. I still have an index.html file on root, is that why I can't get any thing to work?

rename your index.html to index_old.html .
calling your domain now the indian will display index.php
and it will work..

I cant find the main.php file to change permissions in chmod. Anyone know where it is...?

please look for "mainfile.php" which is in root ..
