My PNG's don't display properly in IE

Basically that is my problem.... I am having an issue with the png's that I am creating, such that they don't display properly in IE. They display fine in Firefox. For example, in IE they are displayed with a non transparent background, whereas they were created with one. In Firefox they don't have that problem, they display it exactly the way that I created it.

So, in saying that, is there any solution to this? I don't like using gifs if I don't have to. Any help will be much appreciated!

btw, herko or any devs, any way you guys would consider including this 'fix' in the XOOPS core? issues like this affect EVERYONE, it'd be nice to have the function already in XOOPS for easy use
