Reupload xoops.js from your local html/includes folder to your /include folder on your server. This should take care of it.

Otherwise, download a fresh of XOOPS from here and repeat instructions above.

Your file got corrupted during transfer from here, while decomressing on your local machine or during file upload to your server.

I had the same problem.. i uploaded a fresh modules/newbb overwriting the old one....

The problem disappeared.

okay i have downloaded another core file from- another source- and unzipped it on my computer and have overwritten all the files on my site... since im running the site off my computer at my house could it be somthing wrong with my computer settings? it says under the error msg

i would paypal someone 20 bucks if they can help me fix this problem... i would really love to get this resolved so my site can be fully functional
