Possible to change theme name w/o issues?

I've been tweaking a couple of themes (the CSS that is)

I'd like to just rename the theme, under the themes folder.
Is this as easy as it sounds or do I need to take some special actions.

My x2t style.css doesn't even resemble the original now.

Everytime I assume something, I assume wrong. LOL

Make sure that all references to the original theme folder name in the theme.html and blocks files are corrected. Mainly image paths. All changes should be in the theme folder only. Then it should work just fine.
