I've searched this site, but I couldn't find anything to help me change the top/header on my site.

I'm trying to change the header hereto something similar as this.

1 Image covering the entire top area.

I'm using the phpkaox theme

Help would be appreciated

Cheers,

Vince

hey angeloonie,

you need to edit your theme.html:

<table cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#666666">
<tr>
<td bgcolor="#DDE1DE">
<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<tr>
<td width="285"><a href="http://www.crazy4angie.com"><img src="http://www.crazy4angie.com/themes/phpkaox/images/logo.gif" alt="logo" align="middle" /></a></td>
<td width="100%" align="center"><div style="text-align: center; padding-top: 5px;"><div><a href="http://www.crazy4angie.com/banners.php?op=click&bid=5" target="_blank"></a></div></div></td>
</tr>
</table>

the above table is the first table in you theme. as you see the td width is set to 285px. you can customize a logo and upload. you will have to change the width.

hope this helps.

I now have this:

table cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#666666">
<tr>
<td bgcolor="#DDE1DE">
<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<tr>
<td width="285"><a href="http://www.crazy4angie.com"><img src="http://www.crazy4angie.com/themes/phpkaox/images/logo.gif" alt="logo" width="950" height="100" align="middle" /></a></td>
<td width="100%" align="center">&nbsp;</td>
</tr>
</table>

How do I disable the link, so that it's just displayed as a normal image? simply remove the <a href="http://www.crazy4angie.com">? and how do I make sure the image is in the exact centre?

hey angeloonie,

i am not sure that you have to change the path as it may just be a relative path in your theme.html and absolute path is generated by xoops. all you have to do is overwrite logo in image directory. also, set the width to 100% or whatever, not 285 px.

ok. New at this. I have the system configuration menu up. Clicked on templates. Clicked on system LIST. clicked edit system_block_themes.html. Am I in the right place? I do not see theme.html.

Much thanks.
