Ok, here is what I want to do. I would like to be able to give my registered users the ability to blog on my site. I've seen the blogging mods on this site and they seem to only work for the admins. I want the registered users to be able to blog. The site I run is all about user interactivity and giving them the ability to do more. I'd like to give them this option.

wellwines Blog module works fine actually ...
It is not as complex as most blogs but that could be a good thing....
It also seems to be under a lot of improvement...

isn't that one weBLog? I didn't think that one would give users the ability to do their own blogs.

I use Wellwines weblog.
My registered users will have access to the weblog and write their own stuff.
You can set these rights in the admin group permission.

All you have to do is give your users permission in groups admin. There is a check box for module access there. I use weblog on my sites and users can post blogs on it.

I'm just a bit uneasy giving any admin permissions to everyone. Wouldn't they be able to delete someone elses blog files or mangle them or something?

It's not admin permissions it's module access. They will only be able to edit their own weblogs.

You're welcome! I have users that post weblogs or what I call reviews and they don't have admin rights to anything.

The site I'm doing so far has a free image host (powered by xcGal) and a message board (powered by the Invision Board Module). I just thought that adding a blog ability to it would be something my users could use, and would help keep them stuck to the site.
