I do not know how to install php from php.net My website is hosted by dreamhost and it is an apache server can anyone tell me what to do

Your webhost has to install PHP, you can't do that yourself, unless you have root server access. Most (all?) shares hosts do not allow you to install PHP yourself...

You want to install PHP to your site?
I think PHP and MySQL is already there.

Are your really new to web hosting (and PHP), or did I misunderstand something?

Dreamhost servers already have PHP4 installed as standard.

dbzdude, you should contact your support people at dreamhost and ask them about how to install MySQL databases before you attempt to install xoops. It sounds to me like you need a little guidance from some professionals before you decide to try and install XOOPS on your own.

When i installed XOOPS for the website, it has a page with the XOOPS logo and copyright info, thats it

Did you create a database for XOOPS before you installed it?

Nevermind my post above! You must have created it to be able to have gotten at least that far in your installation!

I know how to do all that stuff,i have a MySQL database setup, .Im advanced in html and php coding, I am not familier with xoops.
