California Requires Privacy Policy

Effective July 1, 2004 all "commercial entities" collecting personal data from Californians must post a privacy policy.

San Francisco Business Journal Article

I had seen a clever Xoopser create a "Privacy Module" (a wrapper named Privacy, I believe) that looked like it might be handy.

Actually, it's at the XMod Team site:
http://modules.xoops2.com/modules/privacy/

But, I did not see a link to download it.

Yeah, that was me. Easy to do: get the about module from the 4mps site and change the HTML file displayed in the module, change the dir names and the xoops_version.php. Catzwolf and Hsalazar have written a nifty module that does this and more, however. Makes adding static pages very very easy. It's called wf-channels and can be seen in action at http://wfsections.xoops2.com , although it's not yet available for download, it will be soon.
