I'll see oscommerce code for "ilustrate me".

Now I'm not sure how to protect downloads from direct linking. I think lots of sites have this problem.
Any help is welcome.

I have what I think is the latest of your modified mydownloads module. I removed the old one and installed the new one over it.

When I click on the admin icon I get this:

Well, ignore that last post. I deleted the old mydownloads module, and removed the module directory, installed the new one and checked the permissions.. and it's working now.

I did find an odd bug pretty much right away. I uploade a file called "RANCE.doc". The downloads entry correctly referenced it as "RANCE.doc". But on disk it had been renamed to "rance.doc". So there's a case-mangling bug somewhere.

I am liking it, though.

I'm looking for away to have one XOOPS group be allowed to upload and non-members not be allowed to upload. Is that a goal here?

Here is one, Every thing in admin section works great, even when you have the shots viewer turned on. However when you go to the main view cat in the downloads section the shots images is trying to be view from here: /modules/mydownloads/dragoon1.gif instead of /modules/mydownloads/images/shots/dragoon1.gif.
I tried goin into the viewcat.php and I cannot find where to change this image link at.

Any ideas

Here's a couple of wish list items

1. Update the file size automatically

2. Display the mime type when listing the downloads

One more oddity: Not all of the mime types listed in xoops_version.php and class/mimetypes.php are available for selection in the admin/general settings page.

For sample "mid" is not there. Odd.

Also it would be better if this list box were bigger and sorted somehow.

New version.
Solved some problems with unusual "application/octet-stream" mimetypes.
Fixed some hard coded texts.

Know bugs, I don't know why some extensions are not showed in admin panel. If anybody can help...

Would it be possible to make certain categories accessable only by certain members? This would be invaluable in a site that I am doing. I am willing to try to hack this module on my own if there are fairly clear instructions.

Even if not, this is a wonderful module!
