I think this would be a good feature, as it would allow members the abiltiy for filesharing, and would be perfect for businesses trying to show special files to seperate clients and get files from them.
The way it would be implemented is, when creating a category, you would have a list of members that can see it. The default would be "All", But you could be able to select as many individuals as you want from the list.
Members without proper permissions would not be allowed to see the category, let alone view it's contents.

I Hope you will be interested in this, as (In my opinion), it is the one feature lacking keeping this module from attaining absolute perfection!

Would it be possible to make certain categories accessable only by certain members? This would be invaluable in a site that I am doing. I am willing to try to hack this module on my own if there are fairly clear instructions.

Even if not, this is a wonderful module!

Try adding (or removing) the "www." in the start of the page address of the page that gives you errors and hit return to go to the modified page address.
This has worked before for me, but I have no idea why it works, so be careful.
Also try clearing your browser cache.

Hope this helps,

I did, and except for the fact that the urls in FreeContent's Web Digest feature are not converted (Probably due to their complicated nature), Everything seems to be working perfectly.
Web Digest

This is a wonderful module and I think it should be included into the XOOPS core (Sort of like gzip compression, the way it can be activated or not).

I found another bug that I think is from the latest version of this module. When I try to install / uninstall a module from the module admin page I get a blank screen and, when phpDebug is on, the following message:
Notice [PHP]: Undefined index: module in file modules/system/admin/modulesadmin/main.php line 46

The latest version gives problems with the Arms module on my site. When you are viewing an article and you click to go to the second page, the variable in the address bar changes to page2 but it shows you the first page again. Otherwise this module works perfectly on my site.

reynaldo:

I did that, and it all works perfect except when you are viewing an ad and you click 'Main" to go back to the main page, it trys to take you to www.myUrl.com/myAds. But this just a problem with the module, which I hope to soon have under control.

P.S. it does this on your test site tol.

P.S.S. Thank you for being so helpful. If this forum had a points system, you would be a millionairre!

Reynaldo:

I did that, and myAds now works (Almost).
When you click to go back to the main index when you are viewing an article it gives an error, and when you are in a category and you click to add a classified it tells you you must be in a category to add classifieds.

It is getting closer...

JackJ:

Yes the links were changing, but the page was staying the same (Click to view an article and it shows you the index still)

The new index.php reynaldo just gave me seems to help matters tremendously.

Reynaldo:

I overwrote the old index.php with a new one I just downloaded and updated the module, but all to no avail...

Reynaldo:

I downloaded myAds from Here, and aside from tweaking the language files, It has not been fixed*.

I can reinstall it if you want me to...
