Upload a song and then see if you get categories. If you don't see any afterwards, that's what you will see when your using PHP with register_globals = off

Why am I getting the following error all the time.
Datei /myserver/public_html/modules/debaser/upload/1094237683.mp3 existiert nicht!

I have tried all possible ways to eliminate but couldn't succeed.
any ideas?

This error only occurs when the mp3 is not moved to the upload folder. The folders upload and batchload need chmod 777.

If this is not the solution, please check if safe_mode is on or off in php.ini. For debaser it must be safe_mode on.

I figured out that the problem is with having safe mode turned off on my server. Is there any way i can use this module with safe mode turned off, as my server company may not do that.

Sorry for the confusion (mistyping)! But the modules IS working with safe_mode OFF! Maybe I was sleeping during writing the answer.

I am currently rewriting parts of the module, so the problem might disappear. But give me some information about your Server anyway. OS? PHP-Version? Register_globals on/off?

Actually safe_mode is turned off.
But i am still getting the same errror. I have chmond upload folder to 777 and i tried to batchload some mp3s in my batchload folder. So far no success.

Hi
Its working now. I forgot to chmond batchload folder to 777 before doing batchload.
However there is another bug thats worrying me now.
When i click on download, instead of asking me to save the file bulky chunks of characters appear on the window.
Why is that?
I tried with IE6 and FIrefox too.

No Go Module

I think I'm missing something, although relatively new to XOOPS, I just can't get debaser into the Modules admin area.
Can someone shed some light on this as it would be a great module for my site. I've tried chmod 777 and 750 with no success.
