I thought on this

viewtopic.php was also my suspect, i guess i know there the bug is, we will see...

Just an idea and perhaps I'm totally wrong.
The first time I tried the new newbb, I forgot to chmod 777 the 'attachements' directory and it returned me this kind of error every time I tried to post with any kind of file attached.

Edited: seeing words about converters...IPBM to newbb would be great.

and hope it'll be possible to show attached images in thumbnails (with size configured by admin) instead of the full real size.

Showing attached images directly works well, the next step is to resize.

The XoopsCode is also expand, means now there come:

1. Input Url
2. Position ( L R C )
3. Width

and some more expanding....

Great, great!!
Now I know I'm going to be a '200% $xoopsUser' onto my website.

Predator,

The forum running on your testsite is trully wonderfull. As i'm totally costumizing my website, intergrating a forum like IPB would be a hell of a job. (for several reasons I can't use bbpixel's mods) Now I might not need to! It seems newbb is finally becoming a real forum.

I can't wait to test it on my testenvoirement. Keep it going, your doing a wonderfull job.

Oops!!
I shouldn't post before my first coffee and certainly not right after I'm waking up.

Predator,

Something I was wondering about. Because newbb is using a lot of corefunctions (and is going to use even more) this might be an issue for some, at least it is for me. I think it's a good thing that the forum is well intergrated and that it uses many global functions.

However, one function in particular is bothering me. In the personal user settings a user can choose thread, flat or nested view. I don't like the fact that this applies to the forum as well. I know there are a lot of people who like this but I don't. I am planning to disable these options for my users and I want to set the view options to different settings for the forum and the commentsystem (flat for forum and nested for comments).

Is it possible that view settings can be separated? I know it is yet another whistle or bell (something like that), but I think it would be very usefull.

bump

Does anyone else have an opinion on separating the view options, or at least make an overwrite option for newbb?

You may submit a feature request to the newbb project@dev.xoops

It is possible to seperate them, but not on the ToDo list, for this we can make later on a Hack: add new option in the newbb Config, and change some Code in the Files.
