TDMDownloads, the best download module for Xoops I've tested so far. Unfortunately it missing some important features. I contacted the developer about a months ago. But he never replied back

I want some features like:

1. Possibility to add more download mirrors to a file.
2. Possibility to add more homepage/links fields. I have tried to create a new field and add a link in it. But it doesn't become clickable.
3. Possibility to have more than one screenshot/download.

MORE of everything!

Don't PM me here, I'm the only one user without access to profile page on xoops.org, already reported that bug - not big changes since then.

Yay.... looks like I was too long away from XOOPS or there is a big change downside in categories since Mithrandir XOOPS (2.2 if I'm not mistaken). XOOPS (in my memories) 2.0/2.2 wasn't so simple...

That's how the categories must look in XOOPS and any other modern CMS today.

Last 2 columns, clickable reordering, plus renumbering reordering

Otherwise, wondering who will make and maintain News portal with over 200 categories, or Downloads section with over 500 categories and 10,000 listed files.

News 1.67 have auto-sorting for categories / topics
Forum (eg NewBB/CBB) - don't have anything like that, not even AJAX drag and drop
TDMDownloads - same as newbb, ah and btw u should fix and the language files.

Then there should be option to be turned off.... like the rest.

Well I do have MSN messenger with the above mentioned account but I haven't used it in ages.. I am hardly ever home so emails eventually catch up to me.

I have used it to chat with Simon so I know it works..

This is on my list but is down my list a little bit. After I do the install system I will be looking at this.

At this stage I will not be working on the download module yet. I will first be working on a "transition" module that will allow people using the current tdmdownloads and wf-downloads to feed information to an automatic module install system.

Once I have this system worked out I will look again at developing a fully new download module but decided to do this middle step to get the functionality out there with currently available modules to test out the method. Wishcraft is looking at doing this a different way and if that happens I will likely evolve this to be compatible.
