We've decided not to include this hack in 2.0.4, but will do so probably in 2.1.0. However the code for this hack is still there and is just commented out so that ppl can enable this hack easily. The reason we are not including this in 2.0.4 is that as I have said in the previous post that we should make this as an optional feature. This requires additional entry in one of the DB tables, which I don't think appropriate for a bug fix release.

Version 2.0.4 will be a bug fix release. It should come soon.

Version 2.1.0 will be the 'next' version, with some major improvements and some additions. We'll start a roadmap discussion on the site soon, I promise

2.0.4 is supposed to fix some bugs eh?

Thats good because I seem to have quite a few. I think they are mainly Globals Off issues..is that addressed at all?

BEcause, upgrading is such a task sometimes..I never feel stable!

I uncommented all the lines in 2.0.4 for this feature to work, but nothing happened.. is there something else I need to do? i must be missiong omething somwhere.

yep same here
didnt work when uncommented the 3 files
myxoops.de has a 2.0.4 auto login hack but the download link on myxoopsforge.de is down

can anyone post up if need to do anything else ?

Have you guys 'updated' the system module? There are a couple of template changes which won't take effect until you do so. I think more than 3 files are affected by this hack... search for text 'autologin' and 'remember' in the files.

I tried doing that and autologin still does not work!!
I even did a fresh install of XOOPS 2.0.4 and it still doesn't work... :(
