If you have URL rewriting, then you can move the directories, adapt mainfile and redirect incoming request from /htdocs/modules/etc to /modules/etc.

I have many comments :
- in IE8 the logo dosnt appear ,is it in CMYK colors or RGB ? edit it with your photoshop or any photo editor and transform it into RGB , (if you use photoshop go to images-->mode--> rgb)

- why you use twice the search box in the same page ?

- in the left block : can you make all thumbnail the same size??

- you can add a : back to top in your page becaise it's a little long (just write : torna su , and link it to #top)

Sorry if i did lot of remarks, the idea is great, with few modifications you can make it better

I am not sure about the difference on having the site in htdocs or

I don't think I have a logo, I mean, if you can see the shelf of books, that is all I have done. Can you see it ?

The term "ugly" is relative. :) The right one is "lame" on "unprofessional". :)

Some people dislike even the regular URL's as eg /modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?post_id=326423#forumpost326423 and replace them by some SEO or SEF links.
