ghia, are you sure you provided the right link? I don't even have /class/textsanitizer/image/config.php only module.textsanitizer.php file and how is this connected to the problem? maybe because i was mistaken, i run XOOPS 2.2.3 sorry for typo

yeah but what should i do anyways to enable custom and who's online blocks? i don't really want to update to 2.3 because when i tried to it screwed up all the profiles i had so nobody could even logon. so i decided to stick with my current XOOPS version.

I think that I will pass on the 2.3.x series and await 2.4 for updating my 2.2.x sites.

i've turned on the debug mode and got this: Warning [Xoops]: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "db:system_block_dummy.html" in file class/smarty/Smarty.class.php line 1084.

Try updating system module.

where do i take new files from? XOOPS 2.3? or just click an update icon in the modules/administration?

Means: Go to the module manager in admin and click on update icon from the system module.
(There are no files to copy.)

dang it, this was the easiest thing to do and it worked out! you should have seen me readin a "how to create a new block" guide and trying to stuff all the custom content in it
