I came across this conversation while searching for a way to populate my new XOOPS setup with users from a Linux mail server. I would like to avoid people registering and automatically create their userid and email addresses from the mail server. Is it enough to make the appropriate entries in the xoops_users table? How do I enter a standard password for each such user and make them change it on first logon?

you need a simple script to porting your user (or you need to modify my PHP LIST SCRIPT)

you can insert a standard password 'test' (but in hash md5) and then every user can edit their password with

Good morning everyone,

Just found this thread and.. considering we have used the same script [slightly changed] to import XOOPS v2.0.16 users into phplist, here you go:

export XOOPS v2.0.16 users to phplist

Enjoy!

Here,
aproape

P.S. I just added some English comments - hopefully they help. If you need more info.. just ask.
