I came across this conversation while searching for a way to populate my new XOOPS setup with users from a Linux mail server. I would like to avoid people registering and automatically create their userid and email addresses from the mail server. Is it enough to make the appropriate entries in the xoops_users table? How do I enter a standard password for each such user and make them change it on first logon?
