I sure hope that the OSCOMMERCE MODULE is not DEAD i rather found this module very exciting when it was being created as it was very unique there is a lot to be done to the module yet though hope that there will be a bug free release shortly.

this is no official word by any means, but it seemed to me that the module kinda died awhile back. it might only be a temporary 'death' until Predator is able to work on the code again, but it's definitely not on a regular dev cycle (how long has it been since that .2 or .4 release? can't remember the version #)

Pehh, it's dead. BD you know me something in the pipe line although it's taking longer than expected............

Zen is very easy to use, or at least in my opinion easier than OSC, it uses a template system, where as OSC was more hard coding.

You should give it a test run and see how it goes, maybe even do a upgrade script from OSC to Zen wink wink

Herko don't miss a thing, I'm on the ball

An official anouncement by Predator would be real nice right about now. I know I've busted my butt over the past couple months to learn what I could about the module, only to find out it's dead [stalled] through hearsay. Rather disappointing.

Don't get me wrong, I certainly can understand someone being soooo busy that they have to give up on a project. Been there, done that, but at least let people know what's going on.

Is there any word on a release candidate for the Zen module? Where can I get some info on this module? Is there a CVS repository available?

lol tom, it's weird, while i maintain an interest in OSC, Zen, and other commerce modules, i don't actively use any right now, so an upgrade script isn't needed (for me, at least, muwahaha)

i think herko would shoot me if i took on another project, while i still have yet to add Group support to Donations (but i'm still working on bugfixing donations, hehe), as well as porting phpbb (i've got other stuff, but those are my active projects)

maybe later though

I've used osCommerce quite a lot, not as an XOOPS module, but as a stand-alone E-Commerce system.

What is the problem with the XOOPS osC module ?
