Why hasnt this Module been widely Publicized...

I just found an Outstanding module at WF-SECTIONS...called User Points....where users are granted points for different categories.....WOW..this is a way to keep users coming back, esp. if you offer promotions on your site....

The incentive for making a post (IMHO) should be to offer intelligent informed help, encouragement and insight. NOT to be number 1 on the user points list.

I am looking forward to the development of a KARMA system that votes for 'usefulness' rather than simply 'volume' of a user's posts.

I agree with everything that you have said. =)

A Karma system would be quite hard to implement with the different amount of modules around. It would be easy enough to count the points given for karma, but adding the Karma to each module would be the hard part.

will have a talk to the other members about this. =)

carnuke good point, I just recently set this module up on my site. And for POST I gave the lowest pooint total....for things like...download submission, news submission etc. etc. I gave the highest...hoping to encourage more content build on my site..we will see what happens.....
