Um....

I dunno what's happened to my site...

http://keanua-z.com

When I logged into admin. I was trying to re-activate an old module [myalbum] in order to use it, but then things just went downhill from there. I can't seen the sidebar menu and people can't access my site.

here's a screenshot [copy link and place in a new window] of what the front page looks like when I log in...

Both my side-menus are missing.

How do I fix it?

Cheers!

First thing, you can login by groing straight to user.php, and to the admin section by going straight to admin.php. That will get you at least in the admin section of your site.

There, turn on php debug, or blocks debug, to see what is causing this strange behaviour. You might also wan to check the database integrity (using a phpMyAdmin tool, or something similar provided by your hosting company).

I can get into admin.php but how can I turn the debug on if I have no side menu...

Plus, when I tried to change user settings, i.e. allow someone to view a certain section of the album. it wouldn't register and that's when it went all funny...

Hey! Want my password so you can have a look...?

http://yoursite/modules/system/admin.php?fct=preferences&op=show&confcat_id=1

Change this link to fit your site and it will take you to the general settings page of the system admin. Keep that page open for now, and opena new window to see what errors are produced.

The spiel is too complex for my tiny brain...

Queries
SELECT * FROM kaz_config WHERE (conf_modid = 0 AND conf_catid = 1) ORDER BY conf_order ASC
SELECT sess_data FROM kaz_session WHERE sess_id = '6d64c1b355f41cc050042ec2d31b31da'
SELECT * FROM kaz_users WHERE uid=1
SELECT * FROM kaz_modules WHERE dirname = 'system'
SELECT * FROM kaz_configcategory WHERE confcat_id=1
SELECT * FROM kaz_config WHERE (conf_modid = 0 AND conf_catid = 1) ORDER BY conf_order ASC
SELECT * FROM kaz_modules WHERE (hasmain = 1 AND isactive = 1) ORDER BY weight ASC
SELECT * FROM kaz_tplset
SELECT * FROM kaz_configoption WHERE conf_id = 13 ORDER BY confop_id ASC
SELECT * FROM kaz_groups WHERE groupid != 3
SELECT * FROM kaz_configoption WHERE conf_id = 32 ORDER BY confop_id ASC
SELECT * FROM kaz_configoption WHERE conf_id = 33 ORDER BY confop_id ASC
SELECT * FROM kaz_smiles
SELECT * FROM kaz_modules WHERE hasmain = 1 ORDER BY weight ASC
SELECT * FROM kaz_group_permission WHERE (gperm_name = 'module_admin' AND gperm_modid = 1 AND (gperm_groupid = 1 OR gperm_groupid = 2))
Total: 15 queries

Also - I have version 2.0.3. Can I upgrade directly to 2.0.7 or do I have to use the patches?Quote:

You would need to use patches to upgrade. i.e.: 2.0.3->2.0.4->2.0.5 etc....

I would highly recommend that you do this ASAP since there have been numerous security patches since 2.0.3.

It's important to note that some modules are not backwards/forwards compatible. You may need to upgrade them as well, else they could "break" Xoops.

Is the myalbum module you're using compatible with your XOOPS version? Usually, you can find what version of XOOPS your module has been tested on in a reame file, or the xoops_version.php file.

Hi

I don't need to use MyAlbum anymore. I'm sorted! Thanks

The XOOPS is running ok now...

I just have to be brave and have a go at upgrading the patches etc...

Wish me luck!
