why i cant install XOOPS in the root directory?
everytime i try to install XOOPS from fantastico, it gonna be like this:

Install XOOPS (2/3)
The installation can not be completed:
You cannot install more than one script in the root directory of a domain.
Click on the browser's Back button to fix reported errors.

I know i cant install more than one script, but the problem is, i havent install anything to the root directory..

would someone help me???

Try to login with your FTP..into your root directory
to check if there is anything inside..

If not.. you could just ask your web host.

Or download XOOPS 2.07 from this website and upload it by yourself.

and install it..

Goodluck

Suggestions:

1) Install XOOPS yourself without using Fantastico (it's not that tough).

2) Contact your web host for support - this is an issue with Fantastico, not with Xoops.

3) Install XOOPS in a subdirectory, and put this in index.php in the root:
('Location: http://www.example.com/xoops/'?>
