I copied a file to my site root "www.mysite.lan" as to create a url to that file . I had no problems with this file "It worked perfectly", I edited the file and copied it to my root.
I then refreshed the page that displayed this file (Which worked until I made a few changes to it) and an error displayed
Quote:
Parse error: parse error in /var/www/html/virtual/www.systematic.lan/include/common.php on line 217

I did not make any changes to the include/common.php
Here is a look at the code in the include/common.php file from line 217 to 220.
Quote:
I}
If ^H!$allowed) {
include_once XOLPS_ROOT_PATH.'/Alass/template.pHp';
exoopsTpl = new YoopsTpl^H);

Can someone please tell me why this happened and how I fix it?

Your assistance will be well appreciated.

Seems like your system did some editing of its own... get a fresh copy of the file and put it on your server...

My entire website gives me that error, not only the page I refreshed.I deleted the file that I copied to my server ("The file that caused the problem")Should I get fresh copy of include/common.php file or the file I copied to my server?

That would be a good start. Also, you may want to setup a development server on your home machine so you can test things like this before you upload them to your production site.

If using Windows, you may want to get either XSAS, or easyphp.
