"Submit News" is missing

No one (webmasters, members, anon users) on my site has access to the "submit news" feature in the main menu. It seems to have disappeared. :( The "News" and "Archive" links are still accessible.

How do I get this feature back?

Interesting - you didn't happen to have any 'accidents' with the news modules xoops_version.php ?

What version of news are you using?

I"m asking because this is a 'feature' handled via groupPerms in the latest version (not yet bundled with the core download as of 2.0.7)

I'm having the same issue. Only the archives submenu shows up. Using 2.0.7. Using News1.2. Also, a special group that I set up is not able to publish news articles. I saw a post on news1.2 that mentioned groupperm.php and its necessity. I got the file from the dev site. I think there may be some confusion between files groupperm.php and groupperms.php. At any rate, I can't get this to work for this group, though I have no prob publishing myself. I replaced groupperm.php in the system module subdirectory.

Please ignore my last post. I failed to realize that there are three different sections to set permissions on on the permissions page, each with its own submit button. Stupid me...

The fixed groupperm.php (yes, it was a typo calling it groupperms.php) is only for pre-2.0.7 as the fix was included in XOOPS 2.0.7

I would assume that the original poster has the same problem as Chappy and that it is a matter of submitting each form one at a time.
