Which CVS should I use for XOOPS 2.2 for testing? There are a lot of branches and most of them gives blank screen after installation.

Which one is should be used:

root-of-Xoops2_2_Factory
Xoops2_2_Factory-1
Xoops2_2_Factory-branch
Xoops2_2_HookHandler
Xoops2_2_HookHandler-branch

why not just try HEAD (all current files)

Why do you think that there would be anything worth testing at this point? We are very much in the initial process of a major refactoring and it will definitely be some time until we have an installable 2.1 version for testing.

When I surf to CVS files I noticed there are some branches about 2_2. And I think if these CVS files are open to public, then there should be something to be testable.

That is not the case. They are open to the public through branches so you can get a sneak peak at it, but if it isn't in the HEAD branch, you should not expect it to be installable.
