Is there a way for me to import my existing XOOPS site to a new instlled site?

I already have a runing XOOPS site (I love it!) I just changed servers and I installed a fresh xoops, is there a way i can import my old site into the new one? I tried uploading the entire old site to the new one but that did not work.

some advice:
1- if u have some hack in your files must transfer them

2- if u have some modules with writable folder ( like xcgal , ...) u must transfer that folders

3- for transfer db use backup at Cpanel. u must create db and a user for it (db and user in mainfile.php)
4- if ur site has too many files dont use ftp for transfer and use Cpanel ( backup , ...)

probably backup not install for u in your cp.( free host maybe???)
then for transfer db use phpmyadmin.
for transfer ur home ftp is the best solution for u. so u can zip ur home and upload zip file with file manager in public_html folder and then extract via Cpanel

Export your DB from phpMyAdmin off your old domain (if your familiar with it) and Import into the new domin via the same method.

If you have all your files uploaded and directory permissions set, once you import the new DB it will be like you never moved

You can install phpMyAdmin on your old site to get a copy of your old DB

http://www.phpmyadmin.net/home_page/

Great, Thanks.

My problem is getting the db off of the old server. The only option thats available is to have a dump that generates a .txt file. I tried using that but it had notheing in it.
