Is there a way I can set the admins / moderators for the forums to a group rather than individuals? Otherwise the list of admins / moderators for each forum would be rather large as I have a large group of trusted individuals I would like to give this to.

You can grant forum module admin rights to a group. In fact, that's the only way of granting forum module admin rights.

Newbb version 2 will have an expanded permission system, but I haven't seen it, so I don't know if it will allow granting moderator privileges to a group.

Thanx Dave,

It was more along the line of moderator that I wanted to give as admin is a bit more power than I'd like to give.

How about creating a group called forummods - and just allowing them access to admins for the forum? Unless thats too much access still?

Yeah, that's a little too much, at the moment I have a setup where they are admins of certain modules, but I have a multi site setup, so I don't want them to be able to make great changes to the forums as that will effect all the sites. Potentialy causing havoc. :(
