okay problem Bodged.

Updated the forum to newbb 2.02 and this seems to have sorted out the propblem (fingers crossed) the problem comes back if I Sync the forum, but goes again if i update the forum again. So wont be doing that again then.

Something strange has happend.

My forum is funky wrong. Some times the drop down menues load as if the theme doesn't have the correct code for the drop down menues (which it does), some times posts dont show, and some times whole catagories are missing, only to show up a few days later

The webhosts servers had a power cut, this may of currupted the databse. And they updated thier Php from 5 something to 5.0.4.

I dont know if these are coursing the problems or not, but my question is, if I reinstall the newbb2 modual will all the threads be gone? and if so is there a way of backing up just the threads so I can reintergrate them back into the database?

I help run a website for a half-life 2 MOD. The ever growing community wnat to share their screenshots with each other. The only problem is bandwidth. What I need is a gallery that instead of uploading images, will show images on other webspace. I.e similar to the way images can be shown in the forum. Or how you can link files from other sites into WF-downloads.

any one know where I may be able to get one. I have tryed galleria. but it wouldn't even install, also xcgallery and myalbum-p

looked at the MySQL debug, and nothing says error.

and I cant find where to download 1.22 so a link would be handy

liaise not working

I have been using liaise for the best part of a year with no trouble.

But now, since host went php5 and i have installed XOOPS 2.0.9.2 lisaise has stopped working.

When i go to make a new contact form, I save and all it says is

ERROR
NONE

i used php debug and found the lines

I looked at the relevent lines in the index.php and cant see nothing wrong

if( is_object($hidden_form_id) ){              
$output->addElement($hidden_form_id);          
}          
if( is_object($clone_form_id) ){              
$output->addElement($clone_form_id);          
}


anyone any ideas?

Thanks a lot Herko that was a great help

Uploaded the whole of 2.0.9 (better to be safe than sorry)
Made the correct changes in mainfile.php

Then updated to 2.0.9.2

2.0.9 beta too latest version

Hi all

Im having a spot of bother.

I've been away for a couple of weeks and now find that not only has XOOPS 2.0.9 final been ralised its also gone to 2.0.9.2 stable.

I can find patches for 2.0.7x to 2.0.9.2 and 2.0.9 to 2.0.9.2. But nothing for 2.0.9 beta

I tried to get the final version of 2.0.9 to just overwrite the beta version, but found the link is now the stable version of 2.0.9.2

Im now realy confused

I've tried for days now to sort this out. so now I fall on hands and knees for your help.

Can some one plz give me a step by step guid to what i have to do to upgrade from 2.0.9 beta to 2.0.9.2 stable, including links where available?

2.0.9 beta to 2.0.9

Hi there,

Im a wee bit hesertent about this. I got 2.0.9 beta, obviously i need to upgrade to the final version. But how??

I dont want to bugger this up, so can someone give me a list of files in the final version that needs to be copied over the beta version.

Or would it be simpler to just back up the MySQL database, and theme and do a complete new installation. and if i do this will all my news and members be saved as well??
